Hey, if you find yourself thinking hmm, when would be the best time to visit norm in Sheffield then let me be the first to tell you. July 24th sees Sheffield Steel Rollergirls hosting their first home bout against Newcastle Rollergirls right in the middle of sheffield. I'll be doing my part to contribute as bench manager and if you don't know what any of this means you need to come see it. You can help cheer my favourite team to victory, party with Rollergirls and catch up with me, norm.

This photo is for Lara H. I can't remember how many times I and other people in Falmouth happened across a dead animal and thought hmm, Lara would like this. It seems that even new habits die hard.

Friday 18th June was the opening night of Jes' exhibition with the Foundation Art & Design course in Chesterfield. Her work, titled Fixed Boundaries, comprised of approximately 50 paper cuttings depicting countries or regions that were once under the rule of the British Empire. These were hung alongside similar cuttings of the four member countries of the U.K and a wood cutting of the Republic of Ireland. Together these drawings are about the meaning and effects of borders and national identity which relate to her position as an Irish national living in England and the cuttings themselves are very pretty.

I found these incredible sprouting potatoes at work today, I don't have much to say about them except that potato sprouts are not even a little bit tasty.
